Ticket types
Seated and standing ticket types — prices, capacities, purchase limits, sale windows, admission modes, and everything else a type carries.

A ticket type is one thing you sell: Standard, VIP table, Balcony, Afterparty. Every price in Bookitive lives on a ticket type, and everything a buyer puts in a cart is one. You manage them under Ticket types in the event sidebar.
Seated or standing
- Seated types attach to seats on your seating plan — their capacity is the number of seats carrying the type on the map (the list shows it as N on the map), and buyers purchase a specific seat.
- Standing types have a plain capacity number — general admission, afterparty passes, add-ons. Buyers pick a quantity.
A single event freely mixes both: a seated main hall plus standing room plus an afterparty add-on is the classic setup.
What a ticket type carries
- Price — in the event's currency. Price phases can schedule changes over time; the type's own price is the base.
- Capacity — the sellable amount (standing) or the mapped seats (seated). Raising capacity on a sold-out type feeds the waitlist first.
- Description, pros & cons — buyer-facing copy shown on the public page: a short paragraph plus ✓/✗ bullets ("Reserved table", "Far from the stage").
- Color — the type's color on the seat map and in legends.
- Sale window — on sale from / until; outside it the type isn't buyable regardless of stock.
- Purchase rules — min and max per order, and max per customer: a cross-order cap keyed on the buyer's verified phone number, the anti-scalping limit that survives someone splitting their buying into many orders. It needs phone verification enabled to bite.
- Admission mode — single entry, re-entry, or daily pass; this decides how the ticket behaves at the door. See Admission modes.
- Pause sales — stops selling just this type while the rest of the event sells on. Paused types show a badge in the list.
- Hide from low-stock alerts — excludes the type from the public "Only N left" line; right for deliberately tiny types like a single VIP table. See Sales booster.
Ordering and housekeeping
- Drag to reorder — the list order is the order buyers see, everywhere: public page, widget, box office.
- Deleting — a type that has never sold can be deleted from its dialog's danger zone. Once orders exist, keep history intact: pause the type instead.
Price changes apply to future orders only — existing orders keep the price they were created at. If you want scheduled, publicly-announced price steps ("early bird until May"), use price phases rather than editing the base price by hand at midnight.
