People directory
One merged view of everyone around your organization — members, event staff, and a saved roster — and how the roster lets you prepare people before granting access.
The People directory (Settings → People) is one row per person, merging everyone connected to your organization: organization members, event staff, pending invitations, and a saved roster of people you've noted but not yet given access. It answers "who is involved, in any capacity?" without hopping between three pages.
The roster: people before access
The directory's distinctive idea is the roster — a pool of people you add to the organization without granting any access at all. A roster entry is just a name and email on file; it grants nothing. Use it to prepare:
- build your volunteer pool over the summer,
- note the committee before roles are decided,
- keep the regulars one click from being staffed.
When the time comes, Add to event turns a roster entry into real event staff with the roles you choose — no retyping their details.
A roster entry is not access. Someone on the roster can't sign in to anything until you grant them a role — the roster is an address book, not a permission.
Reading a row
Each person shows where their access comes from — a member role, event staff on specific events, a pending invite, or roster-only — so you can see at a glance that "Marie is an org Admin", "Petr scans two events", "Jana is on the roster but has no access yet". A per-person view lists exactly which events they touch.
Why it exists
As an organization grows, access spreads across members, per-event grants, and invitations in flight — and "who can do what here?" gets genuinely hard to answer from any single page. The directory consolidates it, and the roster gives you a staging area so preparing people and granting them access are two separate, deliberate steps.
