Members and invitations
Invite people to your organization by email, how acceptance creates an account and grants roles, and the token-based invite that needs no prior account.
Members are the people with organization-wide access. You manage them under Settings → Members — invite by email, assign one or more org roles, and remove when someone moves on.
Inviting someone
Enter their email and pick roles
Invite by email address and assign the organization roles they should hold. They don't need a Bookitive account yet — the invite works either way.
They accept
The invitation email carries a link showing who invited them and what they're being offered. Accepting it grants the roles.
- If they have no account, one is created on acceptance (matching the invited email).
- If they already have an account, they must be signed in with the matching email to accept — an invite for [email protected] can't be accepted from a different account.
How invitations stay safe
- The invite link's token is the credential — unguessable, and the only thing needed to view or decline (no account required for those).
- Invitations expire after 14 days; send a fresh one if it lapses.
- Pending invitations are listed with a revoke action — cancel one before it's accepted if plans change.
Removing a member
Removing a member strips their organization access immediately. Their past actions remain in the audit log under their name — removing access never rewrites history.
Members vs. event staff
Members hold organization roles that reach every event. To give someone access to just one event, don't make them a member — grant them an event role instead. Both paths use the same email-invite flow; the difference is scope.

Team
Two scopes of access — organization roles that cascade to every event, and event roles granted one event at a time — plus the built-in system roles.
Event staff
Grant per-event roles — Event manager, Box office, Scanner, or custom — to people by email, including non-users, for one event at a time.
