Editing templates

Rewrite any sentence of any transactional email, insert variables, set the reminder lead time, enable or disable optional emails, and define your sender identity.

Email texts (Settings → Emails) is where "every sentence your customers read can be yours." Each template breaks into editable fields; fill the ones you want to change and "leave a field empty to keep the built-in copy."

Editing a template

Open a template and edit its fields — the set depends on the email, but common ones are:

  • Subject, Heading, Introduction, Ticket note,
  • Payment box title / text, Payment deadline sentence, Reservation expiry sentence (for reservations),
  • Closing note, Button note, and template-specific notes (partial-offer, decline, on-site…).

Each filled field shows a Customized badge so you can see at a glance where you've departed from the defaults, and a preview renders the result.

Inserting variables

Fields are mini-templates: click Insert variable to drop a placeholder that fills in per email. The common ones:

VariableFills in
Customer's nameThe buyer's name
Event name / dateThe event's identity
Order referenceThe reference (and bank variable symbol)
Total amountThe order total
Reservation payment deadlineWhen an unpaid order expires
Organization nameYour org

The variable picker is searchable and shows which variables are recommended here for the field you're editing, so you never guess which placeholder a template supports.

Turning optional emails on and off

Some emails are optional and carry an on/off switch; others are mandatory and "cannot be turned off" (an order confirmation always sends). The notable optional one is the abandoned order email — off by default — which you deliberately enable to chase expired reservations. See Recovery emails.

Reminder lead time

The reservation reminder has one special setting: "Send how many hours before the reservation expires?" — 1 to 168 hours (default 24). The reminder is skipped for reservations shorter than that window, so a one-hour box-office hold doesn't fire a reminder a buyer would never see.

Sender identity

Under the Sender section: the sender name (the From name in the inbox) and the reply-to address (where replies go). This is "how outgoing emails appear in the recipient's inbox" — set it so your mail reads as you, not as a no-reply.
